7 things you might not know

Ok so Brittney tagged me so here are 7 things you might not know about me:

You May not know:

#1. When I was six I called 911 and told them we had a fire and all the fire trucks and police in the Sandy area came. My brother got blamed I only fessed up a few years ago.
#2. I love rap music. One day you may be so fortunate to hear me rap ask those that have heard me and they will tell you I should have my own album.
#3. When I was five years old I roller skated on the coffee table. I really wanted to ice skate and glass was the closest thing I could find to ice.
#4. I have never been drunk. A lot of people say that they would like to see me drunk.
#5. I am completely freaked out by wet tissue. It is the most disgusting thing ever I will not touch wet toilet paper or tissue.
#6. I have always wanted to be a forest fire fighter. I don't know what it is about their uniform's but every time I see them I stop and stare and when I see the females I always think that they look tough but still feminine. Plus some of the males are pretty hot.
#7. When I was younger I had a huge crush on David Justice. If you are not clear who he is he used to play for the Atlanta Braves and he was once married to Halle Berry.

So now it is my turn to tag and I tag 7 people Cassie, Kelly, Chelsea, Jamie M., Jenn K.,Holly, and Karisti. Good luck.

I have a virus

Ok not really me but my computer at home has a virus and I can't even get on the internet to post on my blog. So that is the reason I still have not posted any pictures of my kids Halloween costumes. I can only get on the internet at work and so don't tell Myrna but I am here at work updating my blog.

So Halloween has come and gone, my birthday has come and gone (yes I am 31), and now Thanksgiving has come and gone. Where does the time go? Do you remember when you were young and your parents would say how fast time went by and you were thinking how slow time went by for you as a kid. Well I know I am getting old (31! sad) but now I can see what they were talking about.

My Grandpa turned 80 on Friday and we had a big party for him with the whole family and I must say that we Hymas' know how to party we even had the police and the fire trucks there!! It was quite a riot. This year I went out shopping on Black Friday for the first time ever and I can honestly say it will probably be the last time ever. What is it about deals that make people completely forget their manners. I had one lady running over me with her stroller and yes there was a baby inside.

It seems at the end of the year I always want to reflect on the past year. There are a lot of scary things going on in the world right now but it is really nice to have your family and friends. My mom, Cassie, and myself are going shopping next week and I am way excited. We always go to Vegas for a night and we have a blast. As I get older I have a lot more fun hanging out with my sister then I did when she was younger. I remember when I used to have to take her to Kelly's I hated it. I wasn't very nice to her but I think that is what older siblings are supposed to do but sorry anyway Cass.

Well enough reflecting I will try to get rid of my virus and then post tons of pictures. Does anyone know a really good computer repair person???

When will it ever end??

So I have an excuse as to why I have not posted in a long time my computer will not let me post pictures and I promised all of you pictures last time so I was waiting. I then decided not to leave you all in the dark any longer I will go ahead and post with or without pictures.

Well today was the marathon and no I did not run it however I did enjoy driving into town last night with all of the words of encouragement telling me I rock and to keep on going. It really inspired me to drive to the best of my ability and to make it to the end. Just kidding I know that the signs were not really for me but it was fun pretending. So back to my story this morning I was able to eat breakfast with my family and watch the first half of conference before I had to head to work and as I was driving to work I was really depressed because I have to work on Saturday's and it really got me wondering "Will I ever be a stay at home mom?" For those of you that don't work with me you should know that I do not work because I want to I work because I have to for insurance we don't qualify for our own insurance because of McKenna's health problems when she was a baby (she only has one lung the other was taken out when she was an infant and the doctors have told us she would never miss the other lung). Then I get to thinking about the Church and how many people in the church have said negative comments about me being a working mom and not being home with my kids, as if it is my choice. I guess that I just have to remember to love the Church for the gospel and the teachings and not judge it because of some of the members.

Sorry I don't mean to be negative. I do have to remind myself about all of the positive things about my job (let's face it if I have to work I have it pretty good with my job.) So here are a few of the positives.
1. The people I work with- If I didn't work I would miss so many of the girls that I work with plus the lunches, family nights, and the almost daily visits from Brittney in my office! Ha Ha sorry Britt.
2. The perks- where else can you go to work and get a facial, pedicure, or massage during your shift.
3. The products- Free products from vendors, products at cost I could go on and on and on.........
4. The flexibility- I can leave work and go to a soccer game or a program at any time.

So when life hands you lemons make lemonade and realize the grass is not always greener on the other side. So long for now I will try to post some pictures next time.

Sorry Fellow Bloggers!!

I am really not very good at keeping my blog up to date so I am going to try to do better. So a lot has happened and I will have to tell you all about it with out showing you pictures but I will post pictures soon. The girls started school I now have 1 third grader, 1 second grader, and 1 in kindergarten. They love school but the boys really miss them throughout the day!! McCall and the boys are signed up for soccer it starts on September 6th and it ought to be really interesting to see how that works. Oh did I mention that Deven is the coach for the boys team? It makes me laugh because I signed him up and he acts like he isn't excited but I know secretly he loves it.

So update on the diet, after four weeks of the really intense diet that I lost 13 pounds on I have now started on Weight Watchers so the losing of the weight is much slower but I don't feel like I am starving all of the time. I have lost a pound in one week and I have been told that by the third week I will be losing 2 to 3 pounds a week. So cheer me on I still have a ways to go but I am making it and eating healthier!!

Hello Again

So It is now August!! I can't believe that we are almost done with the year. Pretty soon it will be Christmas time and then we will be in 2009!!
So Karisti inspired me, she has been losing all this weight and I saw her at the reunion and let me tell you she is looking really good. So I started my weight loss program on July 18th and I originally told the Dr. that I wanted to lose 36 pounds and he told me that I did not have that much weight to lose. Well here it is 20 days into the diet and I have lost 12 pounds. All those clothes that I kept because I knew one day I was going to lose weight are finally starting to fit me again!! Yippee!! So thank you Karisti for being so inspiring.

School starts next week and I am sad that my little McKenze will be going to school this year with her two older sisters. It will only be the boys home for now on. I can't believe how fast things go by. Crazy little bit of information my little sister is going to have a baby. I am so excited for her but I am also a little sad that we won't have any kids growing up together oh well I guess I can provide her with lots of babysitters.

July 4th (a few days late)

We had so much fun the fourth of July weekend I thought I would post some pictures. On Friday we went to my parents and went swimming and had a BBQ. We swam so much that day we were orphans (family inside joke it means our skin was pruned). After swimming the kids did not want to go home so we went to Fiesta Fun. The kids played games, won prizes, and rode the little kid go carts they had a blast and thank goodness that Cassie and Adam came along I don't think I could have done it by myself. After Fiesta Fun we went to the fireworks we watched the fireworks and ate ice cream.

Ty loves to wear goggles.
Tate pretending to be a sleep.

McCall playing cheerleader.

Me and the boys.

Ty climbing on Adam.

Saturday was just as much fun as Friday we went to lunch with Deven's family and then we went to Jumpin Jacks the kids loved it they were running around so much they wore themselves out and let me tell you those huge slides wear you out! After that we thought the kids would be tired and would want to go home we were wrong they wanted to go swimming again so we went back over to my parents and did the whole swimming thing. Needless to say on Sunday the kids were worn out and very irritable.

So many Stars so little time.

So we went to Vegas for IECSC conference and we had a blast. After going to the show we decided to take a stroll through the Venetian and we ran into so many stars:

First of all we saw Cameron Diaz so me and my mom sat down to have a talk with her. As you can see we were a little star struck. The next star we ran into was.........................

Matthew McConaughey my sister proposed to him and tried to kiss him that is when they called security. After running from security my mom and I stopped to dance with none other than.......
Beyonce we taught her some new moves and she said she might use them in her next video. As we were leaving they were doing a live taping of .............................................................

Oprah and she decided to talk to me about how I felt about Las Vegas can you see the excitement on my face? Our favorite star was there and looking mighty fine I might add......

We had to contain ourselves because we did not want Faith Hill getting mad at us for messing with her man..

We also ran into Ryan Seacrest, Madonna, the President of the United States, Cassie played basketball with Shaq and stood next to Micheal Jordan. Both my mom and Cassie putted with Tiger Woods and I know there are more stars but I can't remember all of them. It was a busy weekend.

The next day we went to the spa at The Palms (Drift) we lounged by the pool and took pictures in the steam room (which does not work very well and for those of you wondering we were in our swimming suits ). So it was a fun weekend filled with lots of memorable events. P.S. The stars were all wax we went to the was museum I just wanted the story to be a little more entertaining.

Us in the bathroom at Drift waiting for the camera to take a picture of us.

The Steam room or Hammam as they call it, I told you the picture
did not work very well.

Fighting the Price at the Pumps....

Okay gas has really gotten out of control(especially diesel)!! Deven drives a big Dodge Diesel truck and I drive a Dodge Durango both of them only get about 15-17 miles per gallon and we have to fill up each of the cars at least once a week. So we were getting really frustrated and we were sick of paying $800 to $1000 a month in gas so we decided to fight back!!

This little Toyota may look a little bit weird but it gets 37 to 42 mpg and it is the funnest thing to drive!!! Some of you may wonder where we put the kids don't worry this is not our family vehicle it is my car to drive back and forth to work and take whenever we don't have all of the kids. I could just see us all fitting in this little car that would by funny :) ha ha!

My girls and I went to Cedar City for my cousins wedding last night and we drove this car we were following my dad (in his corvette) on the way home and we both got pulled over doing 85. Now I know you are all thinking that there is no way that little car could keep up with a corvette I will have you know that it was doing just fine keeping up. Anyway we both got pulled over at the same time. How does that happen you ask? The highway patrolman pulled up along side me and motioned for me to pull over then he turned his lights on for my dad. When I talked to the highway patrolman I told him I was just following my dad and he laughed and we both got off with a warning. It was funny.

So we are saving on gas now and the car is way fun to drive. Hopefully gas won't go too much higher or we might have to buy Deven a scooter to drive with his mower hooked on the back.

Going to Las Vegas

Ok. So I am going to Las Vegas in June to go to a conference and I am staying at Platinum. If you have never stayed there before I definately recommend going. They have the nicest rooms and they do not have a casino so you don't have that smokey atmosphere. Last time I went there with my mom and my sister and we had a blast. They also have the best dessert at their restaurant :). We took pictures of us in the room. The bath tub is huge you could literally fit three people in it.

Any way I am excited to go and hopefully Cassie will be going since Brittney is ditching me for her family reunion. Thanks a lot Brittney.

Bare With Me and Happy Mothers Day

Ok so I told you last time I was a first time blogger. I am still learning how to do everything. I have found so many old friends on the blogg's it is so weird seeing everybody and their kids. I remember back in the days when we would all hand out at Kelly's house and try and get the cute neighbor boys to come over to say hi! HA HA HA! Those were the days.

Anyway back to the bare with me part, I still have not figured out how to add new friends (Cassie will have to teach me that) and I haven't figured out how to make my page as cute as everybody else but I am going to post some picuters later on today. I can say that I am starting to figure out all of my computer programs (seriously I have bought four programs and they all do about the same thing) and I am starting to scrapbook digitally how weird is that.

Happy Mothers Day to all of you mothers and mothers to be it is best job with the worst hours and the pay isn't all that great (unless you are paid in kisses and hugs then it can't be beat) hope all of you have a great day tomorrow.

Talk to you all soon.

First Time Blogger

So I am a first time blogger I can't believe how many people do this sort of thing. So to catch everybody up on what is going on I have five kids McCall is the oldest she is eight we just baptized her in February (crazy) and she is a little diva. McKenna is our miracle girl she is six and defiately a little pistol. McKenze just turned five she is in a class all by herself I laugh at some of the things she gets herself into. Ty and Tate turned three on Monday and there is not enough to say about them they crack me up. Sometimes I feel like five kids is way too many and then sometimes I think that I could probably do one more but we have fun Deven is the best dad the kids love to spend time with him.

I still work at Red Mountain Spa and Deven runs his own business he is always busy but never too busy to spend time with the kids.
