Okay gas has really gotten out of control(especially diesel)!! Deven drives a big Dodge Diesel truck and I drive a Dodge Durango both of them only get about 15-17 miles per gallon and we have to fill up each of the cars at least once a week. So we were getting really frustrated and we were sick of paying $800 to $1000 a month in gas so we decided to fight back!!
This little Toyota may look a little bit weird but it gets 37 to 42 mpg and it is the funnest thing to drive!!! Some of you may wonder where we put the kids don't worry this is not our family vehicle it is my car to drive back and forth to work and take whenever we don't have all of the kids. I could just see us all fitting in this little car that would by funny :) ha ha!
My girls and I went to Cedar City for my cousins wedding last night and we drove this car we were following my dad (in his corvette) on the way home and we both got pulled over doing 85. Now I know you are all thinking that there is no way that little car could keep up with a corvette I will have you know that it was doing just fine keeping up. Anyway we both got pulled over at the same time. How does that happen you ask? The highway patrolman pulled up along side me and motioned for me to pull over then he turned his lights on for my dad. When I talked to the highway patrolman I told him I was just following my dad and he laughed and we both got off with a warning. It was funny.
So we are saving on gas now and the car is way fun to drive. Hopefully gas won't go too much higher or we might have to buy Deven a scooter to drive with his mower hooked on the back.

CUTE car - I want one! I about died two days a go when I filled up and my total was $79.11!! EEK! I'd love this - and then I'd definitely get Bryan a scooter...have you seen those vespas lately?? I love that you are fighting back! We have been wanting to change cars too with Rick's commute! He has about an hour commute both ways and the gas is killing us on a student loan budget! Let me know how you like the car! The police story cracks me up and the thought of your dad in a corvette makes me smile. Good for him! That is Rick's favorite car :)!
Love the story and LOVE the car! Am I jealous at your mpg in the car? YES! I would love to see all seven of you trying to fit in the car... so funny!

Don't worry, I just blog stalked you back! I am a new blogger too, and I agree that it is out of control...but fun too huh! By-the-way, we too are considering a scooter for my husand to drive to work. I am just glad that when I come back to work we will be back in our old house closer to the spa! Gas Prices ARGGG!
